4th International Conference on Wireless Mobile Communication and Healthcare - "Transforming healthcare through innovations in mobile and wireless technologies"

November 3–5, 2014 | Athens, Greece

How to innovate healthcare? Discover it at MobiHealth 2014

The 4th International Conference on Wireless Mobile Communication and Healthcare – “Transforming healthcare through innovations in mobile and wireless technologies” (MobiHealth 2014)  is to take place in a few days in Athens, Greece.

What is the goal of the conference? The main goal of MobiHealth 2014 is to exchange ideas and experiences alongside the discussions of cutting-edge research and practical challenges in the application of wireless communications, mobile computing, and sensing technologies in healthcare delivery. A colossal added value of the conference is the fact that it involves not only academicians, but also well-known practitioners and policy-makers in the field such as Andreas Lymberis (European Commission), Richard Kemkers (Philips Research Eindhoven), and Gisele Roesems-Kerremans (European Commission). This means that presentations will not be limited only to theoretical review of the issues in the field, but also concrete suggestions for setting standards based on participants’ first-hand experience.

What to expect from the conference? For the fourth time, MobiHealth proposes to focus on healthcare technology and the corresponding multifaceted challenges in Europe and globally. Hence, one should expect a multitude of original interdisciplinary inputs on the enhancement of the application of a wide range of technologies, standards, and methodologies in human healthcare.

MobiHealth2014 is full of extras: apart from regular sessions during the three days, the conference offers numerous co-located events such as student paper contest, five special sessions, and four workshops dedicated to topics requiring specific attention.

To make the most of participants’ MobiHealth experience, all accepted papers will be included in the Mobihealth 2014 Conference Proceedings and submitted to the IEEE Xplore Digital Library.

Last, but not least the meeting point is Athens (practical information). If you wish to follow the event on Twitter, the hashtag is #mHE14.
