Flight time from Athens to Kos is approximately 60 minutes. Flights departing from "Eleftherios Venizelos" International Airport to Kos are scheduled 4 times per day.

Boats (including car ferries) depart from Piraeus port (major port of Athens).

Access to Piraeus port from "Eleftherios Venizelos" International Airport

The "Eleftherios Venizelos" International Airport is located 45 kms from Piraeus Port. You may reach Piraeus port by the following means:
  • Taxis can be easily found at the stations outside the airport. The taxi queue is next to Exit 3 of the Arrivals Level. An average journey by taxi to the Piraeus port should take approximately 60/70 minutes, depending on the traffic and its cost should be around 45 - 55 Euros per way.
  • Shuttle Bus is leaving from the Airport to Piraeus port approximately every 20 minutes (Express line X96) and it reaches Piraeus after 90 minutes. The bus queue is next to Exit 5 of the Arrivals Level. Current ticket price is 3,20 Euros.
  • Metro The Metro runs every 10 minutes. You can take the Metro, line number 3 (blue) from the airport and reach Piraeus port in 60 minutes. Current ticket price is 6 Euros.
Note: When you arrive at the airport, you should exit main terminal building, cross the road, take the elevator to the upper level, cross a long corridor, and you will arrive at the metro station. Take the Metro, number 3 line towards "Monastiraki". Using the same ticket and without leaving the station, you can switch at Monastiraki station from the blue to the green line, direction "Piraeus", which will take you to the Piraeus port.
